Since 1964 we are active in the field of transport research, education and consulting.

LITEP is the Laboratory for Intermodality and Transport Planning of EPFL. It emanates from ITEP, the former EPFL's Institute for Transport Planning.

Research within LITEP focuses on multimodal transport planning, operational planning of public transport systems, and on railway infrastructure management. Our approach is system oriented and deals explicitly with intermodality and commodality issues.

We ensure transmission of knowledge through courses at all university levels: Bachelor, Master and Doctoral.

LITEP also hosts the educational and research activities of the "Cities and Transport" group.
